“Animated Spanish Village”

 

Each September, Dr. Eisenstark enters a painting in the Boone County National Bank exhibit during Columbia’s annual art fair. This is a hand signed print of this entry for the year 2009. The inspiration for this particular acrylic painting was a visit to the artist’s row in Balboa Park, San Diego, especially the works of Don Knapp. It reminded him of the pastel colored homes seen in the Mediterranean islands. These structures are not natural but highly distorted as might be seen in animated films. The intent is to playfully display multicolored objects that would be fun to look at from day-to-day.
